For as long as I can remember I have wondered, what was over there…….

Discover Egypt’s Nile River the Big Sista way. No rushing from place to place trying to squeeze in all of Egypt’s wonders in a week, where the only people you meet are on your bus. This focus of this trip puts you in Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes with time to meet the locals, explore the quiet villages, or go back to something you really enjoyed. Our days include one planned adventure for a few hours on most days, so there is time for you. Take photos go for a walk with a new friend, take a camel ride on the banks of the river or read a book in the warm sunshine that is Egypt’s winter. We will be situated on the west bank of Luxor where life is quiet and donkey carts and buffaloes are part of everyday life. However, just across the river is a bustling city complete with ali baba style souks. The east bank is home to the colossal temple complex of Karnak and the Luxor temple. A less known, attraction is the local bakery that turns out he most delicious breads and buns and cakes hot every afternoon and the small stalls that make fresh falafael for breakfast.

North African sun sets and Felucca’s

A Felucca is a study wide wooden boat with a single large sail, the design of which has remained largely unchanged for millennia. On this trip you will see North African sunsets as we sail in our own Felucca, drinking tea with our local friends as we talk about life in this part of the world and what makes Luxor so special to so many.

Take in a sunset from the top of the mountainside, The Valley of the Kings. Here we will see the tomb of Tutankhamen the majestic temple of Hatshepsut and spectacular vista high above the nile.

Visit the Karnak Temple complex, the oldest and biggest temple complex in the world. Take your time. This one is spectacular.
