Celebrating Women’s Photography
We are excited to offer this women’s only adventure in collaboration with Camera Story.
Join professional photographers Jacqueline Warrick and Sara Landro from Camera Story on this once in a lifetime residential in the oldest city on earth.
Your week is packed with daily interactive workshops covering technical aspects of photography along with sessions on how to capture meaningful travel photos and develop ethical photographic narratives. We will be out and about creating images everyday and taking time for daily reflection and review sessions. By week’s end you will have a body of work that digs deep beneath the surface and expresses your unique creativity and eye.
We will stay together in a peaceful, humble guest house on the banks of the Ganges River. The guest house is light and spacious with common sitting and dining areas. The rooms, each with a bathroom, are basic, fresh and comfortable. The guest house is beautifully maintained throughout.
Daily brunch, includes delicious home made yogurt, all the usual favorites and a few new ones too. Fresh fruit and herbal teas available across the day. Some other meals and light refreshments will also be included. There is a cook in the guest house and there are several restaurant options close by. The week will commence with a welcome dinner and special guests from a local music academy. Also from the academy, an evening performance in our guest of classical music and dance, later in the week.
See The World Though New Eyes
Small group tours of the busy main ghat area and temples will be available daily at a very small additional cost paid to our guides and friends, Sandip and Vishnu. By moving in a small group, and with our local friends, you will be taken into twisting laneways deeper and deeper within the city, places of legends (that will be told ), temples high above the Ganges and tiny cave like shrines below.
Optional yoga is also available within the guest house in its own Yoga Shalla. Ayurveda consultations, remedies and massages are also available on request at an extra cost to the practitioner.
We will meet you in Varanasi Airport, transfer you to and from your accommodation.
