    Our home in Fes is a beutifully restored Riad in the ancient Medina of Fes.The Riad was lovingly restored by our good friend Khadija using traditional craft workers and modern comforts.

What’s included on a Big Sista Adventure to Morocco.

Where will we go on a Big Sista Adventure to Morocco

  • Our adventure begins in Casablanca. An over night stay in a quirky three star hotel near the old french quarter.

    A short drive to Rabat, the capitol of Morocco to see the old fortress, Kings Palace and roman ruins.

    Lunch along the way we arrive in Fez in time for a rest and welcome dinner with our host Khadija, my friend, in a beautifully restored ancient Riad. Optional Haman ( an Arabic hot house and scrub down

    We spend a few days here, right on the edge of the seventh century Medina, Explore its twisting lane ways, and drink tea on its roof tops.

  • Mekness is another of the imperial cities. Behind its huge walls are palaces, spectacular mosques mausoleums and restaurants showcasing the best of North Africa cuisine and hospitality. We visit Molay Idriss, the holiest pilgrimage town in the Rif mountains on the way to Volubilis, an open air museum of ancient Roman Ruins.

  • Set in the Riff Mountains this is the enchanting blue city.Awake at dawn for the haunting call to prayer that resonates across the mountains. Shop along the twisting blue lane ways free of cars. Listen to live music in the large city square and buy homemade bread from the women who arrive daily from the villages.

  • Perhaps the most famous of the Imperial Cities Marrakesh is a pink city as cosmopolitan as it is ancient. The Medina is a wold heritage area and a meeting place for trade from all over North Africa.Take an optional day trip to the sea side town of Esssaouira or the Atlas Mountains.
